Spending the day inside Casa Mennone

Casa Mennone is a farmhouse built around 1600 and was originally a home for the peasants who worked on behalf of the Marquis Mazzarosa, a noble family that owned all the surrounding properties. Going up the road to the north, in the small town of San Pietro a Marcigliano is a farm that is still owned and operated by the Mazzarosa family. Previously, the Casa Mennone estate was used to cultivate mainly wheat, olives and grapes. The house had its first renovation in 1980. The west wing, which was originally used as a stable and barn, is the most recently renovated part of the house as a result of the major restoration work carried out subsequently. The complex is very welcoming and extremely comfortable, while keeping intact the charm of the Tuscan farmhouse, with exposed wooden beams and terracotta floors and original furniture, built with great care and taste, to meet changing needs. The large dining room, breakfast room, living rooms and lounging areas make Casa Mennone perfectly suitable, even when the weather is not pleasant enough to be outside, or during the winter months. You can also to sit around the fireplace, chatting with friends and family, with the discreet company of a slowly burning log on the fire. The facility can accommodate up to 17 people and is ideal to accommodate you and your family for your holidays, or even groups of friends, together to commemorate a special celebration or festivity. In the spacious and well equipped kitchen, we have 5 burners, a dishwasher, two refrigerators (including one with an ice-maker), espresso machine, coffee, toaster, microwave, and electric oven.
