The "Casa Mennone" by day

The Casa Mennone is a typical Tuscan house, built around 1600. It was inhabited by farmers who cultivated the land on behalf of the Marquis Mazzarosa, who at the time owned all the surrounding land. In fact on the road to the north in the small village of San Pietro a Marcigliano, there is an estate still belonging to the family.
The house was first renovated in the 1980s. The west wing is the newest part of the house as a result of the major restoration work carried out subsequently. The original structure nevertheless remains, with wooden roof beams, terracotta floors and the unmistakable warmth of a farmhouse. When the weather is not good enough to be outside, the Casa Mennone welcomes guests to its large dining room, breakfast room and comfortable lounges. Sit talking by an open fire or enjoy a game of cards with friends, while it is raining outside. With accommodation for up to 17 people, it is the ideal place to celebrate every type of occasion or meet up with friends and family. The kitchen is large and well equipped (hob with 5 rings, dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, including one American style with ice maker, expresso coffee maker, filter coffee maker, toaster, microwave, electric oven).
